During the Expo weekend a workshop will be organized in cooperation with Ernst Brust, authorised Bicycle expert and founder of the established german consulting and certifying Institute Velotech.
Under the theme of "Zwischen Leichtbau und Leichtsinn" (~ Between lightweight and levity), Ernst Brust and other experts such as Dr. Eric Groß and Dr. Peter Mikitisin will hold lectures and discuss about many important aspects of bicycle production. A main focus will be on the emerging group of 'pedelac'/e-powered bicycles.
Check back soon for further information and registration material!

Due to a rising number of doubtful registrations we`ve tried to formulate some points concerning admission requirements for exhibitors. This is not an easy task, and a few rough rules won`t cover all aspects of the question. But the aim is of course to guarantee the high quality standard of the show, to keep up its 'local' character, pointing towards the socio/econimic/environmantal implications of small scale production, and at the same time to offer visitors an impression of the wide varieties and possibilities of bicycle. In case of any doubt please feel free to contact and discuss, but please understand that all labeled or mass-produced goods are of no interest for a HANDMADE expo. Thanks. |

Eurobike is approaching fast and sure many of you are busy preparing for the show. 2Souls/EHBE has a booth there for the first time this year, and we`re looking forward to anyone who likes to visit us there in Hall B4-411 to talk news and exchange ideas for an improved 2nd edition of EHBE in 2010. C u in Friedrichshafen! |

The founder of the leading custom framebuilding resource 'Frameforum' ( www.frameforum.org ) has launched a new website focussing on the custom and handmade bike sectors of the industry, which has seen omething of a revival over the past few years.
The site, HANDMADE BIKES (www.handmadebikes.net) will focus not only on bikes, but components, accessories, bike events and shows and bike heritage. Where Frameforum focussed on the work of the framebuilding scene, Handmade Bikes will widen its view to include complete bikes from the new wave of 'micro-brands' springing up in the last five years.

Hotel people and guests alike enjoyed the few days international flavour when the "bicycle guys" came over the Hotel Pelikan this may. So we`re happy to inform you that the management of the hotel again offers a "EHBE special rate", for exhibitors, visitors, journalists etc coming to the city for show. Visit their website under www.hotel-pelikan.de, and just mention that your connected with EHBE when booking. |

The organization of BIKE EXPO Munich has invited us to represent EHBE at their show. For this year (the show was from 23-26.07) the timeframe was too short, and we also wanted to see the show as visitors before making any decision. Possibilities are open now to think about cooperation... |
